Levels at the VWHPC

Senior International

Gymnasts competing at Senior International are the Elite of the Elite. These girls are at the pinnacle of their success and their 35 hours plus training a week is finally paying off. Competing at many National and International events they are the stars of our sport and rightly so. They have committed and maintained that commitment at an age where many sports stars are just beginning. These gymnasts have been successful in their sport and are continuing to be successful in sport and life after gymnastics.

Junior International

Gymnasts that are competing at Junior International level are well on their way to representing their country at major International events, such as the Olympic Games. In fact they already represent their country at many international events such as the Pacific Rim Championships. Whilst these gymnasts are too young for Olympic Competition, they can represent Australia at various competitions.

IDP 5 - 10

Gymnasts competing at IDP 5—10 levels have been recognised as having the potential to compete internationally when they reach Junior and Senior ranks, these gymnasts train approximately 32 hours per week focusing on perfecting skills not only for today but for their future training as well.

Junior Development Area

Women’s competitive gymnastics begins with Levels 1, 2 and 3. At the VWHPC girls train in the A Division and the focus is on IDEAL testing rather than competition results.
